RC Bugs 2012/52
For the last week of the year I have only worked on following RC issues:
#695845 - open-vm-tools: Init script should Required-{Start,Stop} $remote_fs
Sent proposed t-p-u debdiff to the BTS, and asked the release team for an approval to upload to t-p-u.
#696691 - freetype: multiple vulnerabilities in freetype before 2.4.11
Report the issues to the BTS and submit also the debdiff for the version in unstable with small comment.
After an ACK by Steve Langasek on IRC uploaded the NMU without delay to unstable.
#696304 - nmu: tsung_1.4.2-1
Add a comment on the request to binNMU tsung.
#649068 - rgmanager and resource-agents: error when trying to install together
Upload the package targetting t-p-u prepared by Ivo Decker.
#696736 - Insecure permissions on database files
Looked at the patches in Ubuntu and submit a debdiff for unstable to the BTS.
#654341 - inkscape reads .eps files from /tmp instead of the current directory
Checked the issue and asked if this warrants a CVE. Furhermore sent a comment to the BTS.
RC Bugs 2012/51
Due to limited time no real work on RC bugs again this week.
#603428 - snort: prompting due to modified conffiles which where not modified by the user
Tried to repoduce and sent information to the BTS.
#696066 - fuse-utils: directory vs. symlink mess after squeeze => wheezy upgrade: /usr/share/doc/fuse-utils/
Tested the proposed solution and sent patch to the BTS.
RC Bugs 2012/50
No real work done for 2012/50. Sponsoring a t-p-u upload and only investigated one further issue with open-vm-tools and rgl.
#687848 - extlinux-update: fails to correctly update changed syslinux debian themes
Work not done by me but by Ivo De Decker. Upload the approved package to t-p-u.
#695845 - open-vm-tools: Init script should Required-{Start,Stop} $remote_fs
Looked at the bugreport and noticed that with $remote_fs added this causes problems with the boot dependencies. Report this to the bugreport.
#684810 - rgl: FTBFS: types.h:98:5: error: 'copy' was not declared in this scope, and no declarations were found by argument-dependent lookup at the point of instantiation [- fpermissive]
Sent comments to the unblock request bugreport.
RC Bugs 2012/49
Not much work on RC done this week. Here is the short summary:
#675895 - parrot: FTBFS in sid: (.text+0x20): undefined reference to `main'
Check that the package indeed builds fine in wheezy and unstable for the current verison in wheezy. Reassign the bug to icu and mark the fixed versions.
#694368 - libfuzzy{2,-dev}: missing Breaks+Replaces: ssdeep (<< 2.6)
Add comment to the BTS.
#695274 - libparse-debian-packages-perl: Problem parsing stanzas with more than 1 multiline entry
Checked the report and looked at current rdepends. Forwarded the bugreport upstream to the CPAN RT and downgrated the severity.

I haven't done real work on RC bugs in 2012/47. Here is my activity for 2012/48:

Added Breaks and Replaces on libextutils-command-perl.
#694537 - libio-prompt-perl: Version of IO::Prompt in wheezy dies if you call prompt() in non-"main" package
Prepared an upload targeting testing-proposed-updates.
#694486 - lib/LWP/Authen/Wsse.pm uses Digest::SHA1
Prepared a patch.
#694474 - MasonX::Request::WithMultiSession needs Digest::SHA1
Sent a patch to the BTS.

Work done on RC bugs in 2012/46:
#692534 - Fails to build sqldeveloper package with "chmod: missing operand after `755'"
Upload a NMU to the DELAYED/7 queue.

Upload package to the archive containing the patch provided by Angel Abad.
#691905 - libconfig-model-dpkg-perl: FTBFS in Sid
Upload package to the archive adding build-dependency on lintian.
#689884 - couriergraph: Ships a folder in /var/run or /var/lock (Policy Manual section 9.3.2)
Upload package to the DELAYED/3 queue.
#692157 - couriergraph: init.d script does not check if daemon already running on start option
Upload package to the DELAYED/3 queue.
RC Bugs 2012/43
Again only few work on RC bugs for wheezy:
#678968 - libpam-barada: "Authentication service cannot retrieve user credentials" on successful login
Investigated the situation and sent comments to the BTS.
#689038 - camping: Does not support HTTP POST
Sent comment to the BTS.
#666334 - FTBFS: build-arch problems with patch applying and instalation of files genrated only in build-indep target
Send comment after investigation to the BTS. Furthermore reopened the bug as it still FTBFS also in the version in experimental when doin a binary-only build restricted to architecture dependent packages.
RC Bugs 2012/42
This week again only very little amount of work done on RC bugs fixing for wheezy:
#689541 - libapache2-mod-dacs: deletes conffile on package removal (policy 10.7): /etc/apache2/mods-available/auth_dacs.load
Prepare a patch and sent to the BTS.
#691032 - libembperl-perl: FTBFS: - m32 is i386/amd64 only
Apply the patch provided by Konstantinos Margaritis to the package and upload to unstable.
